Xtreme Intense Championship Wrestling presented "Xtreme Heatwave
2008" this past Sun., June 22nd from The Ritz in Warren, Michigan. The fans witnessed a new Midwest Champion crowned, an incredible
suprise and a phenominal main event all rolled up into one.
Full results saw:
In the opener, Jeff "The Hook" Brooks gained a victory over
"The Human Amp" Anthony Rivera with a small package in 8:39.
The House Of Truth (Truth Martini, "Amazing" N8 Mattson and
Eddie Venom) announced their mystery partner for the six-man main event against The Fun Lovin' Criminals was a man that Midwest
Champion Buff Bagwell had never beaten....none other than 2-time former WCW Cruiserweight Champion The Disco Inferno. Martini
told the crowd that the Midwest Title was coming home to the House Of Truth!
In 2:18, The Devil's Own ("Pitbull" Skull Ganz & Devil Dawg)
made incredibly short work of Kris Korvis and Jason Harris. As no. 1 contenders to the XICW Tag Team Titles, The Devil's Own
challenge champions The Ringside Revue on Sun, July 13th at the Eagle Theatre in Pontiac, MI.
In 7:49, Kamikaze returned to XICW action teaming with rookie
sensation Ty Darius as they defeated 101 Proof (Levi Blue & Joe Byrd). The losing streak of 101 Proof continues.
In the Drunken Death Match, Roughhouse R.O.B. defeated XICWE
Comissioner Mike Mcmahon in 12:35 with a sleeperhold. With McMahon passed out after, Rob embarrased him by putting makeup
and lipstick on "The Boss".
XICW Light Heavyweight Champion Kid Hybrid pinned Jimmy Whiplash
in 13:40 to retain the title with a top rope flying headbutt.
Tony Tyson pinned "Beautiful" Brian Shotwell in 5:08.
In 6:14, "Wrestling's Only One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen unmasked
Josh Movado and as Movado attempted to hide his face, Gowen rolled him up for the 1-2-3.
In a Handicap Match, XICW Tag Team Champions The Ringside Revue
(Gavin Starr & Keith Creme) retained the XICW Xtreme Championship at 8:56 over Mo Dread. After being beaten with chairs,
kendo sticks, metal signs and a variery of objects by Dread, a horrified Starr and Creme announced they wanted absolutely
nothing to do with the Xtreme Title and threw it to the ground. The vacant XICW Xtreme Title will now be up for grabs on July
13th in Pontiac as the winner of the Bunkhouse Weapons Battle Royal will be declared the new champion.
In the Main Event...it was The Fun Lovin' Criminals (Buff Bagwell,
Jaimy Coxxx & DBA) vs. The House Of Truth (N8 Mattson, Eddie Venom and Disco Inferno w/ Truth Martini). If the FLC's won
the bout, they would get five minutes alone in the ring with Truth Martini. If any of the HOT pinned Buff Bagwell, they would
win Buff's Midwest Championship.
With referee Brian Gorie distracted by Disco, Truth Martini
attacked Buff with the Midwest Title as he was going for the blockbuster. This led to N8 hitting his patented STO on Buff
at 15:09 to win the title, ending Buff's 8 month title reign.
XICW returns to the Ritz on Sun, 7/27 with WWE Hall Of Famer
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Age Of The Fall Leader Jimmy Jacobs.
XICW returns to the Eagle in Pontiac on Sun, July 12th with
an Xtreme Bunkhouse Weapons Battle Royal for the vacant XICW Xtreme Title, plus Buff Bagwell battles House Of Truth member
Eddie Venom! More details coming soon!
