MCPW “Battle Ground 2008” Detailed Results
 
Saturday. May 17th, 2008, MCPW presented it’s biggest show of the year, Battle Ground 2008, in a jam packed Kaliseum in Kalkaska, Michigan filled to the bleachers with 350 wild fans!
 
In the opening contest, a Make or Break Match, Scotty Young defeated Jake Omen via pinfall.
 
In the second match up of the evening, “The Weapons of Mass Destruction” defeated the new comer team of Carlton Kaz and Sweet Lou Roberts.
 
Next, in their final meeting, Christin Able beat Shane Hollister to become the #1 Contender for the MCPW World Championship, after the match, Able took the mic and let the fans, as well as Shane Hollister know that he respected him, the two then shook hands.
 
In the highly anticipated Anything Goes Tag Team Match, “The Hardcore Icon” The Sandman and “The HxC Warrior” Zeroe took out the team of Hardcore Harry and “The New Horror” Sami Callihan, after the match, Callihan tried to take down Zeroe, but Sandman made the save and the two celebrated in the ring.
 
Up next, “The 2007 Michigan Tag Team of the Year” Ringside Revue presented their open challenge, it was accepted by the up-and-coming young team of Louis Lynden and Bryan Skyline, after a hard fought contest, the veterans Ringside Revue came out on top.
 
Caden Ames came out successful in the MCPW No Limits Championship 6 Man Elimination Match after outlasting Steve Amani, Jeff Brooks, Kid Hybrid, Knight Wagner, and Kra-Z. After the Match, Steve Amani attacked Caden Ames with a ladder and climbed to the top holding Ames’ No Limits Title above his head.
 
In the Special Attraction Match, TNA Superstar Chris Sabin defeated ROH Superstar Tyler Black in a great contest, which many called the Match of the Night.
 
In the Main Event, MCPW World Champion Jimmy Jacobs retained his Title after defeating Josh Abercrombie with an assist from Tyler Black. Chris Sabin tried to make a save, but The Age of the Fall proved just too strong, and Jacobs walked away once again with the MCPW Gold around his waist.
