IWA-Mid South (a promotion owned by Ian Rotten of ECW Fame,
best known for Ted Petty Invitational, and King of the Death Match Tournaments based all around the Mid West) has seen an
interesting stable of wrestlers pop up recently involving Michigan.
For the past few months, Christin Able has been attacking
the IWA-Mid South Strong Style Champion, Michal Elgin. This past weekend, more Michigan Wrestlers started aiding Able in his
attacks against Elgin and have dubbed themselves: The Michigan Militia.
At this point in time, the Michigan Militia consists of:
--Josh (Abercrombie) Raymond [PoG, XICW,
HPW, MCPW, RPW] --Christin Able [PoG, HPW, MCPW, RPW, CWM, XICW, PZW] --C.J. Otis
[PoG, HPW, XICW, IWF, NWA: Underground, MCPW] --Bryan Skyline [PoG, HPW, PZW, NWA: Underground, MCPW] --Kid
Hybrid [XICW, IWF, MCPW] --Jeff Brooks [XICW, IWF, MCPW]
It should be interesting to see how the Michigan Militia
progresses in the coming months in IWA-MS and if any other promotions are invaded by this stable.
IWA-Mid South has their biggest weekend of the year coming
up with the "Ted Petty Invitational 2008" featuring such names as: Dave Taylor, Too Cold Scorpio, Tracy Smothers,
Mike Quackenbush, Mexican Wrestling Star: Cassandro, Chris Hero, Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs, Josh Raymond and many more wrestlers
from all around the country. The only Michigan Militia member in the tournament is Josh Raymond, although I'd expect more
to be at the shows. Michael Elgin is also entered into the TPI, and has been the target of the Michigan Militia as of late,
which would make one believe the Michigan Militia might be involved in his match.
Stick with MWN! As this story progresses.
